Do you guys know if there is any place you can purchase posters based upon Sci-fi/fantasy novel covers? I would really like to have some of them on my wall, corny as that sounds...I think some of those covers are beautiful.

In a similar vein, how do you find out who does the art for those books? Sometimes it's mentioned in the book, sometimes it isn't...

Try the cover artist websites, I know you can purchase prints of Michael Whelen's cover art on his site, not too sure about the others

It should say on the inside of the book who has done the cover art.

Most of the bigger artists do have at least some (if not all) of the work they have done for sale as prints-best place to check is their website.

Definately can get some great stuff by Micheal Whelan (www.glassonion.com), Larry Elmore (www.larryelmore.com), Keith Parkinson (www.keithparkinson.com), Bob Eggleton (www.bobeggleton.com), Boris Vallejo & Julie Bell (www.borisjulie.com), etc; there's too many to list.

If you know their name, just do a search and look for the artist's official site. They'll have info at that site on how to purchase prints.

If there is a specific book or artist you'd like info on, post it up.

And don't worry, my walls are covered with prints, I've got notebooks full of trading card series of fantasy/sf artists, and tons of art books.

In my opinion, Michael Whelan is one of the best book cover illustrators ever!

Here's the addy for his web site: http://www.glassonion.com/main.htm

I understand you can order his prints, calendar, posters from this site
