Can't remember the name of a S/F book from the 80's

I read this book in the 80's about some future where reporduction is controlled. The main character comes accross an underground group that has found a way around it and he falls for a girl named Violet with a big chest. He escapes the society and goes back for some reason to get something. Aarggh! Gotta remember this!

Other than the name, it sounds like "This Perfect Day" by Ira Levin.
