Serial Experiments Lain ?

If so, I recommend that you watch NieA_7. It was made by the same makers of Lain, and was distributed by Pioneer (who made Dual!). Very much different from Lain, and it's quite good, and lasts only 13 episodes.

Akira - awesome, and the comic series is stunning - but 6 volumes??? I thought there was close to (or over) 30 in the graphic novel series!

Street Fighter 2 - complete with Alice in Chains track.

Wings of Honn... Homm... Honhomhonhimon-mayonaise or whatever it is called is beautiful.

Devilman - great, in a kinda "don't know why"-way.

Ghost in the Shell - top notch.

Ulysses 31 - for all you old timers out there!

But what about BAD anime?? Of the 15+ titles I have, I've got to say that 4 or 5 of them are utter shite. Complete crap. 'Fireman' or 'Fireguy' is horrendous.

Wings of Honneamise, have the DVD here right next to me.

my favourite anime at the time is 'Ghost in the Shell:Stand alone complex'. A series based on the hit movie Ghost in the Shell. Highly recommended to anyone who loved GitS!
Other animes high on my list are: Noir, Hellsing, Vampire Princess Miyu OVA, Record of Lodoss War (avatar!!) and of course Neon Genesis Evangelion.

The list goes on but i'm not going to bore you guys with an endless list of all the anime i've seen so far ;)

also .. great anime movie is Jin-Roh, from the same makers as GitS

I've seen a fair bit of anime... *thinks about it* Ok, so I've seen quite a disturbingly large amount of anime for someone in a small town with a 56k modem and no money o.o;;

Yesh, Akira is good, although it's by far not my favourite (and right now I have better manga to buy than the series *ducks rotten vegetables*), I guess my current favourites are:

Vandread, Hellsing (oh gods is that ever my favourite...), Blue Submarine #6 (first show I completely fell in love with), BubbleGum Crisis (the original~ ) X-TV (more fun than the movie and a lot more keeping with the series), Love Hina (because for all my bitchiness I'm a softie too :P ) and Orphen (because the whole storyline grabs me in ways I just can't describe o.O ).

I have a lot of other anime, but those are just the ones I like best right now :) ask me in 2 months and no doubt the list will be very different :P
