Manticore?

Could this be the title of the next book? I saw a nice looking image titled "Manticore" by Stephen Youll attributed to Ms. Howard. Here is the link:

No, we're still discussing the title -- but that is the cover art. I've been looking periodically to see if it would appear online at Stephen Youll's site, but when it finally did I missed it! Thank you Rob B.

Stephen Youll, by the way, is a very conscientious guy when it comes to getting the cover images right. He actually called me up to discuss what the manticore should look like as well as other details of the scene, bless his heart.

I know he got a lot of flack for a couple of the Erikson covers, but I've liked much of the cover art I've seen from him. In addition to your covers, I really like what he did with Greg Keyes and Robin Hobb's work. Too bad Bantam is no longer using his art for GRRM's books.

When will book 2 be publishing?

Next year about this time. It keeps moving around, so I'm not 100 percent sure. Also, we're still discussing what to name it.

The mass market paperback of The Hidden Stars just came out this month, however. There's a little tiny snippet of a preview of the next book at the back.
