For those of you who have never heard of Sawney Bean, here's a quick link...

I always wondered why this story (be it myth or otherwise) has never been adapted for film.
Wrong Turn, Wolf Creek and Hills have Eyes to name a few, have all been similar in theme, but Sawney Bean would make a bloody great film, in every sense of the word.
My mother told me about it over 20 years ago and I'm surprised it hasn't materialised onto the big screen.
A good British Indy director like Danny Boyle would be great for this.
