Series help

With all the great series going on right now, I can't find any upcoming info more than a month or tw in advance. I' extreemly frustrated. If anyone can offer me any upcoming info on Kate Elliot(Crown of Stars) or David Eddings(Sword of Truth) I would greatly appreciate the help. Isn't anyone else going nuts with this?

Well, the Sword of Truth series is actually written by Terry Goodkind, not Eddings, so that may be part of the problem in searching for info. I don't believe there's been any announcement regarding the next book in the series but I haven't been following that closely so take that as you will. I'm interested to see if Goodkind can recover from Soul of the Fire, which I thought was far below the caliber of his previous four books. Bring back the Keeper!

Hey Pax, what's your beef with "Soul of the Fire?" Terry HAD to tell about the fight against the chimes, otherwise he'd be cheating. You can't just unleash some long-sealed force without some consequences.

Me, I'd like to see Richard and Jagang duke it out.

It's been a few months since I've read SotF so bear with me while I try to dredge up the info. I remember my primary problem after reading it was that it just didn't feel right.

Since that's pretty general, I present to you the Dominie Dirtch. It's a massively powerful artifact that could keep the Imperial Order at bay... and we only hear about it in this book. Along similar lines, while the chimes are dealt with, I don't recall them ever being explained fully. The whole climactic battle with 'em was pretty vague.

While we get a couple of new characters (namely the Hakan kids - Fitch, Beata), why in the name of Purest Evil are they introduced, somewhat developed, and than waxed by the end of the novel? Ditto with the rulers of Anderith who contract some form of VD and are completely off of the radar at the end of the book.

And to top it off, we don't get nearly enough Imperial Order action! Maybe it's just my rabid bloodlust, but I wanna see some bloody chaos as the Midlands and the Imps tear into each other. Personally, I think a three way battle between Richard, Jagang, and some kind of minion/manifestation of the Keeper would be muy cool.

And gars - you can't go wrong with more gars. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

There has been some news about Terry Goodkinds next book. The title is said to be Faith of the Fallen. That news is supposed to have come from TG himself.

Yes, I've heard its faith of the fallen too.
