POSSIBLE SPOILERS! - Running with the Demon

Does anybody know how the book ended? I didn't catch what Terry Brooks is intending. I think he might write a sequal of the series since it ended so lame. And I think the book was incredulous; when I thought I would end reading it, Brooks always puts something that literally "stuns" readers. I couldn't put it down. And it was both interesting and sad that the little girl who almost fell off the cliff should end her life as a street girl. The series should really be made into movies.

I liked the series, but I was very, very sad when...when...(spoiler ahead) JOHN ROSS DIED! that was just wrong.
And, could someone PLEASE explain to me what the gypsy morph thing was all about? What happened to it? where did it go? I was REALLY confused about that-and I've read Angel Fire East three times now!
I think that Terry Brooks should:
1. Sell the movie rights to someone
and
2. Write a sequel in which John Ross is resurrected. (boohoo he died!)

[ADMIN EDIT: Spoiler tags added! Hobbit]

Gypsy Morph is a thing of powerful magic which Terry Brooks did not really care to put detailed explanation. It is something that is supposed to be an innate sorcerer. Gypsy Morph went inside the main character (the Athletic girl, can't remember her name. . . ), resulting a queer type of pregnancy. So I suppose the things are turn upside down; the hellish Void lost control of great weaponry and therefore became a little weaker.

Here's my comment, I think Terry Brooks should have put more champions, such as John. Instead he only put 2, John and the girl
If John revives, it would be kind of strange, rather, O'holish (. . .) Amaneh should come back to the sequel if Terry Brooks is minding to make one.

The gypsy morph became Nests unborn child

Runing with the Demon is just the first book in a trilogy.

I've just finished reading them and it has left me wanting to know more about what happens next - with lil john Ross, how the Void wins and destroys the land, how the races of men become trolls, dwarves, gnomes etc. Also how the forbidding is created. It had to be the Words biggest victory when all else looked lost.

Are you aware of the Genesis of Shannara series, Abhorsen?

The story's continued there, in Armageddon's Children, The Elves of Cintra, and the to-be-released later this year The Gypsy Morph.

Might answer some of those questions!

I loved--LOVED-- The Word/Void series. Every time I try to finish The Sword of Shannara so that I can read the books that come after I lose all will.

I've gotten two-thirds of the way through this last time. I really want to read the books that come after! Is Sword super-important? Will I understand the others if I just stop where I was and move on to Elfstones?

You don't need to read SoS imo, Elfstones happens about 50 or so years later and the bits you need to know are explained, you will pick it up quick enough. They are talking about turning Elfstones into a movie so they obviously didn't think you needed the SoS first :)
