I've seen a couple of metions here in the forums of Michael Stackpole's newsletter & podcast named "The Secrets". Is the newsletter worth paying for?
I read the sample issue on his website and thought it was OK but it wasn't anything terribly interesting. The podcasts were fairly interesting and they supposedly supplement the newletter.

I've subscribed. It's most definately worth the $70 for all back issues and a current subscription. TONS of great info. There's also a supporting podcast you can sign up for at the secrets.
Here's a list of writing related podcasts you can subscribe to if you'd rather listen than read.
I Should Be Writing (http://shouldwrite.blogspot.com/)
The Kissy Bits (http://kissybits.blogspot.com/)
The Survival Guide to Writing Fantasy (http://teemorris.com/blog/)
The Secrets (http://www.stormwolf.com/thesecrets/podcasts/index.html)
Confessions of a Struggling Writer (http://jrmurdock.blogspot.com/)
Of course once you get out there you'll find a ton more, these are just a few. There's also a bunch of podcasted fiction, podiobooks.com, Escape pod, and the list goes on. Some bigger authors are starting to podcast to support their work like Tracey and Laura Hickman with the Dragon Hearth (http://www.dragonhearthproductions.com/).
If you get out there and look, you'll find a TON of resources out there. As for what's good and what's bad, that's for you to decide. But as for the secrets, download the podcast and you be the judge if you want the newsletter. In my opinion, it's worth it. A wealth of information in each.
