I read Robert Newcomb's newest offering - Savage Messiah (http://www.sffworld.com/brevoff/268.html). It is the latest book review I posted HERE (http://www.sffworld.com/brevoff/268.html).
Thoughts?

Sounds about right from what I've heard about his other stuff. How in the world does he keep getting published?

I'll just say this: I feel for you, Rob. I really do. Cleanse yourself with something you'll just love.

It's a dirty, dirty job, but someone has to do it....
Sometimes to know what you think is 'good' and what is 'bad', you have to encounter the Dark Side.
Think Rob's been there.....

Bad reviews just encourage him IMO:
If you gave permission for them to quote you on the cover, i expect it would read:
"familiar formulas with great success...added something new, infused the story with a unique voice...tells the story with sparkling, clear prose" Rob B, SFFworld.

Hey, it was the claims that Fifth Socerous was the worst fantasy ever that made me buy it. :D Just couldn't resist the curiosity, so stop tempting me with these reviews.

Very true.
Cleanse yourself with something you'll just love.Well, I did finish up V for Vendetta and I'm also reading Vellum and Caitlin Sweet's A Telling of Stars, so those three do compensate.
How in the world does he keep getting published? The sad thing is, I've seen people (mostly his fans) say this book is his BEST book yet. OO-FAH!

I'm afraid that if I thought about it, my head would hurt far too much.
But I dug the review, Rob.

They rarely ask permission, they simply grab the quote.
But I dug the review, Rob.
Its always good to know if people appreciate the reviews, thanks!
I reviewed something a little better very recently, to be understated. New topic.
