Need Help Finding a Movie.

Hello all. I need help finding a movie that I saw when I was quite young. I only remember very few select things about this movie.

1. It was about a boy who heard a story about an Evil black Knight that would (not too clear on this part) take the hearts of young children and turn them into stone, or just turn their hearts into stone with his Gauntlet.

2. There was a large talking cloud, or maybe it was the wind, and he took the young boy to the land to stop the evil black knight.

Thats all I have to work with, so you can imagine how difficult it is.
Any help or attempts to help would be greatly appreciated!

It would help to have some info on a possible date for the film. Can you remember:

In what year did you see it?
Did you see it at a cinema or was it on TV or video?
At the time you saw it, did you think of it as "an old film"?
Did it have "special effects" and if so, what sort? (having animated characters for example will help pin-point a release date)

Any other info on the film? Eg genre, rating, target audience? Hope I can help you narrow the search a bit. :)
