Need advice on R.Scott Bakker

Hey,I'm a big Feist/Paolini/Tolkien fan.

I've seen and heard alot about the Prince of Nothing series by Scott Bakker.
From what I've heard they are very good. I was hoping to get a second opinion from someone who has read the books.

Are they any good? Are they similar to any of the above author's stories? Etc

Thanks in advance,

Albeno

Hei, Albeno, WELCOME to the forum!:)

I'm affraid you won't find many similarities. I haven't read Paolini but I find the other two very different from Bakker. Philosophy in Prince of Nothing is overwhelming! It is a great series (not my favourite but great) and you should give it a try. I would recommend that you don't give up on the first book (if you don't like it) because the real action begins in the second one.
