Hi everyone,
Since there seem to be several Kay fans here, I thought this might be of some interest:

It's a press release, cover and prologue of his next book, due early next year... :)

Awesome, thx a lot for the news, i always await eagerly each of his releases and was wondering what the next one would be about... do you know if this is going to be a stand alone too? :)

Thank you for that, Nic! :)
I was a bit shocked to see that this new book is not set in the world of his other books, but rather in our own, modern world. But after reading the introduction and prologue, I think it will prove to be a very interesting book. I will definitely be buying it when it comes out. (Although I might feel a bit sad that there will be no Jaddites and Asharites.)
Icarium, from what I can tell, yes this book is a stand alone.

Cool. I will probably have to check it out, if for no other reason than its "set in and around Aix-en-Provence, near Marseilles". I visited Aix-en-Provence in 1999, when I got bored of Mareseilles. It was a nice little University town, with an old city centre full of pubs and good times.

Looks like quite the departure for Kay. I look forward to it.

Neat! Thanks for the information! Looks A LOT different from most of the work that I have read of his. Modern world eh? I wonder if Kay can pull it off. I have loved his historical fantasy novels though wasn't a fan of his high/epic fantasy (or whatever you want to call it). The Introduction was good.
