Hi,I'm new.
I've just received four new (for me) books to
read, and wonder if anyone has any opinions on
them.
The Mists of Avalon - Marion Bradley
Dragons of Autumn Twighlight-Weis&Hickman
Circle of Light - Martin Middleton
The Seer King - Chris Bunch
Also, has anyone read any of George R R Martin's early works.

I can only comment on the first two.
Mists of Avalon.....not bad.
Dragons of Autumn Twilight....one of my favorites. Be prepared to enter a world of wonderful, memorable characters.

Dragons of Autumn Twighlight is really, really recomended. I read it couple of times and it seems good to me. It is written well and it is difficult to put away the book. Also some very nice characters. And fortunately it is only the first of the serie. Others are nice, as well. Be sure to read!

Thanks for your comments.
There's a positive review of Chris Bunch's
Seer King on here as well.
Middleton's Circle of Light seems to be a bit of an unknown.Like most I've got a pile of books to read,so this one might go to the bottom.
Maybe someone out there has read it?

Mists of Avalon - one of my faves - along with the other two in the series. Have not seen Middletons book though - sorry.

Mists-ok
Dragons of Autumn-not a bad book. If you enjoy that style though, check out the Death gate Cycle by the same authors (weis and Hickman), a much better series in my opinion. First book is entitled Under Dragon's Wing.

Mists of Avalon-Superb, best retelling of King Arthur I have ever read. It is being made into a miniseries for TNT.
Dragons of Autumn Twighlight: One of the first fantasies that I read, it really got me into fantasy about 10 years ago. I think it (the Chronicles of Dragonlance) are one of the better Fantasies out there, and a great place to start.
Never read the other two, though.

Finally! Someone else who has read (or has) Circle of Light!
Ive been searching for the sequel for some years, as I got the first one from the library for 20p. Where did you get it from?
The seer king is OK - not brilliant but not too bad either. The mists of Avalon is good too.
Havent read the other one though!

I totally love the Mists of Avalon!!! It's one of my all time favorites.
The other three books I do not know, altough I'm not a big fan of Weis&Hickman, depending on the series.

Mists of Avalon - Brilliant. Low key, subtle, moody, no gimicks. The images still flash across my mind's eye and I read it many years ago.
