I want recomendations for the best books you have ever read.

Olden days, modern days and any genre.

I know this is a fantasy board but as well as sci-fi and fantasy novels, dont hold back any other you you really loved

Im getting into the main fantasy and sci-fi series. Now and then I will want a single book that I can get into. I have never read a classic stand alone novel

so while there are other topic like this, please dont shut it, im just looking for the best books full stop.

cheers

grechzoo,

sorry, but I close your thread - again.

I do not consider it spam but:
As with your first thread, I have to tell you: use the Search function and the Recommendation thread. In that one alone you will find at least two threads about stand alone books: Best Stand Alone Book (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2746) and Stand alone books?? (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=146).

As for SciFi and non-genre books: just look into the Science Fiction forum and the General Fiction forum. We have those seperate forums for a reason.

And "the best books full stop" - that's a matter of your taste. You will have to decide whether or not you consider one book or the other as the best book. Asking here in a thread generally about recommendations will get you a) the same answers (by the same people ;) - you people, don't take that badly, we appreciate your opinion) and b) we already have a lot of such threads! Reading the various threads here and participating in other interesting threads will give you a clue about what you might want to read and so on.

Please understand that we do so with almost all threads asking for recommendations - we do that for a reason. Sometimes we do let such threads go on if they offer a new twist, a new question.

What you ask for you can easily find already within all sffworld forums.
