I've looked into this recently and couldn't find anything, does anyone know of any english magazines that publish sci fi/ fantasy stories?

Then you've also got the different societies that publish their own magazines. For example the British SF Association publish fiction in their magazine, Focus, published twice a year.

And the British Fantasy Society publish stories in Dark Horizons, also biyearly.

There will be others, no doubt!

Have you looked at the small presses?

If you go to Ralan.com it is one site to rule them all!

I tend to use Ralan quite often as a starting point when searching for a market for my work. They are pretty good about updating (every few days) and they organize markets by pay scale (ie. professional, paying, and "4theluv"). I tend to start at the top (higher paying first) and work my way down as the rejections come in.

All should grovel, on their knees... to Ralan.
