VERY nice, Kevin. I see what you mean by lighting experiments. Very interesting.

Love the belt, or whatever you'd call what's holding her bottom up. Another pesky question. If these costumes are desigined by well..costume designers... then there's a good chance you'd see them on other people in other pictures by other artists, right?

Could be a faux pas if two warrior maids showed up at the same party with the same bronze girdle, of course, but do you see a problem with that for you as an artist?

Yes, and no. :)

Yes, since all of the objects in my scenes (people, clothes, buildings, backdrops) are commercially-available items, any of them might show up in other people's pictures as well. No, because what each artist does with them is unique. How everything is put together is a reflection of that artist's particular vision. For instance, in the picture below, the woman is wearing the same belt, and the cape (of which only the neck part is visible in Summer Storm) is also the same. However, the textures are different, and the rest of the clothes, the human, the background, etc. are all different. It's one reason I mix and match a lot of the "things" I own, because it gives me more creative options and more likelihood of having images that don't look like anybody else's. And while I certainly see, while trolling around other art sites, some of the same people or clothes or buildings, I rarely see anybody else's art that looks just like mine. I seem to have developed a particular 'style'. (It's actually kind of interesting, when you go to people's deviantArt galleries, to sort of just gaze at their thumbnail pages as a whole - you can really sense that personal style in the overall color palette and tone of their work).

Hi, fantasmic; welcome to the thread!

About all I can offer on your observation is that "scantily clad" ladies (and men, for that matter) have been rather a staple of fantasy art for a very long time. In that, I'm just following along in traditions. :) However, with regard to the guy thing, I would note that on my deviantArt site, where I have at the moment 94 "watchers" (people who have signed up to be notified when I post a new piece), I'd say actually more of them are female than male. So I think it may just be a matter of taste or personal preference rather than strictly gender.

I understand this which is why I still like your stuff and I look past how they r dressed for the most part :D

I guess what they say is true, sex sells

I gotta say, not many guys object to chicks running around in underwear or G-strings.

Returning from a few weeks absence.
Lighting the Way: marvelous use of colors. I really like the composition, even the slightly showing pregnancy.
Summer Storm: Yeah, lin is correct. She's hot! But, splain to me about the lighting. You get the gold on the shoulder suggesting sunlight but you have the blue water - in some sort of shade from that sunlight - turning to red and darker. You have the blackened corners on the left where no sunlight penetrates. What do you have in mind here?
2nd Use of Clothing: Why such a difference in hand size from the woman to whoever is off-screen? Is she just a big-handed woman as opposed to a big-hearted woman?
True Love: For some reason, these figures seem more super-imposed on the background than anything else on this page. And why can't he look her in the eye?

Summer Storm -- The light on her shoulder is illumination from the torch she's holding. The water is red, I assumed, from the last bit of sunset that is being obscured by night and really black thunder clouds. The light behind her head I took to be from lightening, but perhaps it's something else.

The lady in white one I like in general, but she seems to be standing in an awkward position. On True Love, the guy's stance is strange, but it is also the most interesting part of the picture for me.
