I met Ray in London a few years back and had a little 5 min chat with him and his publisher. Other than that I have talked to him via e-mail lots of times.

Could you post your pic of Ray on his latest tour here? (http://hallofworlds.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=1678&pid=69702&st=20&#entry69702) We are trying to get a collection of tour photos together.

Thanks

I did a booksigning at a WorldCon several years ago, sitting right next to Ray Feist. Embarrassing that, because his line was humongous and mine ... wasn't.

But what a genial, expansive personality that man has! He kept up a running conversation with everyone, including the rest of us at the table. Mostly, he was talking about his daughter, who was quite small at that time, and there's something very endearing about a doting father.

That's nice to hear, Madeline.

Hopefully next weekend I will get chance to meet the man. Am looking forward to it.

I met R.E.F in Sydney back in '99 when he did a forum and a whole bunch of us were able to ask questions about the book.

Why aren't Jimmy and Dashel in the books anymore? He said that "they would kill each other." and he was attached to them and didn't want to.
Normally he doesn't care about killing of charcters like he did in the serpent war series. If he wrote another book one would have ended up dying, if not both, because of the different paths they were taking.
