Question for administrators...

If I had been trying to get the opinions of Fiest "fans" I would have started that thread in the Fiest Fan Forum. Since I was looking for some who might have likewise been disenchanted with Fiest books, I started it here...knowing that those people would not be lurking in Fiests "fan" section as I am not...

Just trying to attain understanding of how things get moderated is all...

If you want to discuss Magician in the fantasy forum, you should post in this thread:

raymond e feist's 'magician' (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1756&highlight=magician)

The separate author forums are to prevent the main forum being swamped, so having more than one thread here discussing the same book is not helpful. Also, the threads in the Feist forum are not all fanboy rantings, check out:

Reading Feist was a bit of a disappointment.. (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2009)

Thanks Yobmod. That seems to have explained it pretty well. It is/would be confusing to have two parallel sets of threads running in both the Fantasy Forum and the Feist Forum area. Otherwise, why have a Feist Forum area? The views in any of the Forum areas usually cover threads, both good and bad. the thinking behind it is that if you are interested in Feist's stuff, good or bad, you go there.

Hope that makes it clearer.

Best wishes

Hobbit
