The canyon wall was still over 100 meters away. "Maerad! Nooooooo!" she heard. She looked around wildly, but didn't see anything. Just...keep...running she told herself.

"Maerad! Behind you!" came the voice again. She obeyed. There, right in front of her, was the Hull she'd been running from.

"Hello Maerad." he said "You have no where to go, HE will find you eventually, you can't run forever"

But the Hull advanced still, so menacing. "It is your fate," he said.

Maerad froze. "No! It's not possible!" she shouted.

The Hull reached out and put his hand on her shoulder. The sudden iciness made her recoil in shock, and she regained control of herself. She began reciting words in the Speech, words that Nerili had taught her....

''move out of my way, im stronger than you, dont make me kill you, and wont win this fight'' she told him.
''ha your powers are nothing, he will get you mearad you cant hide forever remeber that''

And with that he sent out a bolt of darkness that look like it would kill anyone, but mearad just stood there staring at him

''is that the best you can do? go on have one more go im sure you can try harder than that'' she told him smugly
''look ill show you'' and with that she sent out a bolt of power that sent him flying backwards.

*ahh you've posted loads, ignore mine if you want!*

How many of them are there? she wondered. She extended her senses, trying to find other conciousnesses. Nothing besides the one who was advancing upon her.
