Ok here is where we can all talk about the story and how it is going or what people are thinking of. I will now just throw out a few ideas on the world itself (nothing in detail so as not to restrict anyone) so everyone has some type of idea of what is going on.
There will be one mainland continent, where the story will take place. On all 4 sides the continent is surrounded by water that up until this point, no one has ever crossed (besides the local tavern's drunk sailors who have claimed to have crossed it many a time). The name of the city in which the story will start is called Fenslow, and it is the capitol city of the province of Igthorn. Igthorn has a moderate climate and is located on the western coast of the continent. Igthorn is bordered on the west by the Great Sea and to the north east and south by other provinces (of which any may create as the story goes along). Fenslow is a bustling city full of merchants, sailors, lords, thieves and such. The rulers of the province hold council here. Their names are Baron Randall Waylan and his wife Beatrice. There had been talk of strife between the provinces, but since a peace treaty signed 200 years ago after the Great War (history is open ended and can have references made at any time by any participant) there has never been a battle much less a war. There is no magic in the land and as far as anyone that is alive remembers, there never was. Magic is only mentioned in the old histories and the battles of the Great War. Rumor has it that magic has also returned to the land, as a strange ship settled into harbor not a week previous. No one has seen the occupants of the ship, save the entourage sent out by the Baron and his council. Trysalicus Bernon is the Captain of the guard at Fenslow and a good friend of the Baron, yet ever since the ship arrived Trysalicus has not heard from him. At the onset of the story, Trysalicus is summoned by the Baron to his private chambers. ****character intro****
Trysalicus has been Captain of the guard for three years now. He is currently 32 years old and still as good a swordsman as any in the land. Seeing as you have to challenge the previous owner for this title (in a duel to the death) there are not too many changes of this position. He is a quick thinker and sound of judgement, and has also been a good friend of the Baron since his father died when he was but six and the Baron took him in.
***end of character intro***
As I stated in the order list, I will have the first post on Tuesday.

It appears as the word count cap may still be slightly low as I have just finshed the first post and realized that I was well over. So I believe that we should just remove it and let people finish their ideas as long as they do not get too carried away.
If we run into problems we will address it then.

Can everyone please post in paragraph form in the open string story? Not in one big block if possible. Thanks.

I thought about using paragraphs, but since the tab key does not work in this format, i decided against it. Well seeing as Pluvious has withdrawn, the next post goes to Sojourn.

Eeeek!! But I'm not ready yet! Sorry folks, but lately my creative juices has been severely taxed, what with designing role-playing campaigns for my RP group and working on my own original RPG. *sigh*

Don't suppose I could be passed over for someone else? Or better yet, put last in line? So sorry to ethanx and the others. Thanks for your kind understanding and tolerance. ^_^

Thousand apologies... ^_^

If need be you can be inserted at the end of the line Sojourn and that will be your spot. Well now it is on you Fitzchivalry, unless you bow out also. If that is the case just let us know and i will just cancel the whole thing.
