i was just wondering why i didn't see Clive Barker's name mentioned even once in this forum.

maybe people don't consider him a fantasy writer but i defenitly do. his books have almost everything that is required for a good fantasy story. I Imajica and The great and Secret Show.
i'm sure many of you out there read him. what do you think?

You're absolutely right. We should be seeing Clive's name alot more on these boards. I know alot of people consider him a 'horror' writer, but I agree with you, I'd call him a fantasy writer.

I've read most of his books and liked them all.

Yep!... Weaveworld was totally fantastic.

I think when he was at the height of his writing career he turned to movies, and did not really try to capitalize on his writing, and has now become the forgotten author...

Unless... he's going for cult status.

He can paint a picture with words though... he writes fantasy... but in OUR world... no mean feat
