In the late 70's or early 80's i remember a fantasy trilogy in which the protagonists were a dwarf, a bear and an otter. The baddie was dark Queen Dorini, who was opposed by her sister, Queen Lorini. there was a monster called Cakgor. It was a very derivative series, but I must have had some enjoyment from it or i'd have forgotten it altogether. Anyone remember it or know the author's name?

Last night the title came to me (I think). Was it CIRCLE OF LIGHT? but I still can't recall the author! Someone please help. It will drive me loopy...
