Tolkien Question

First off, Tolkien is my favorite author ( so is John Grisham, but that's another genre ), and I wondered if anyone knew of any other books of his beside Lord of the Rings, Lost Tales, and the Silmarillion writtten by him. I've seen a few others by him, novellas, and wondered.

Also, anyone know where I can find his autobiography?

Thanks,

Aaron Wolfe

P.S. If you can, I'd appreciate your input on my short story The Last Mage. The formatting isn't the way I want it, as a matter of fact it's not even correct, but if you take the chance to read it would be much appreciated. ( Quotations are missing too. Sorry. )

Hi Wolfgang

Tolkien wrote other books, actually more like short stories really. 'Farmer Giles Of Ham' is one of his better known (bear with me I need to nip to my bookshelf)......'Roverandom' is another

Here are a 'few' more

Leaf By Niggle
The Homecoming of Beorhtnoth
Smith of Wooton Manor
The Adventures of Tom Bomdadill
The Road Goes Ever On (with Donald Swain)
On Fairy-stories

The above were published in his lifetime, the following posthumousley, edited by his son Christopher Tolkien

Sir Gawain,Pearl and Sir Ortho
Fin and Hengist
Mr Bliss
Unfinished Tales

I have asumed you already know of the 'Silmarilion'

As for Biographies I personally have not read any apart from a small paperback called 'Master of Middle-earth', and I'm sorry I can't remember the author. Another book is 'The Inklings'. this covers the society that Tolkien set up with C.S. Lewis of 'Narnia' fame, again the author escapes me.

Christopher Tolkien also published his father's notes from The Lord of the Ring, this is a massive 13 part work that has alternative versions of the trilogy.

Hope this helps
