what the devil are you jabbering about? Have you ever read The Communist Manifesto? It's full of stuff that might work in some kind of platonic ideal world, but it always fails in reality, because the truism that states power corrupts (and that absolute power corrupts absolutely) is the governing principle in this world. If anything, Goodkind was ineptly trying to explain that in his latest book. (I'm interested in communism, but I will never support it. Doesn't work...ask the 22 million dead russians Stalin killed or the 16 million dead Red Chinese executed for failure to adhere to doctrine...Ask them if Marxism works.)

Goodkind isn't a good author, but at least he understands the failures of communism.

Now, democracy is full of things you can quibble about as well...but, c'est la vie.
