i like Rand. he's the main reason i'm carrying on reading the wheel of time. so i don't know what he's talking about sometimes he's still a good deal better than some other characters i can think of. anybody agree?

Rand was alright at first, then he turned to this crazy sexist power freak.
What's the deal with crying for every dead woman?

And he has second thoughts about fighting Lanfear (ultra powerfull Power-wielder), because she is a woman... LOL!

I like Rand. He is a pretty compelling character. Just goes to show that not everybody would react the same way if they were told they are going to be the savior of mankind/the world.

Rand may have trouble killing a woman for many reasons. I think eventually though, he will kill Lanfear. It all goes back to him not really knowing his mother all that well.

Sadly no I do not think Rand is that good, maybe if he stopped crying and whinning once and a while I could like him more. Maybe one day in book 28 he will stop and I will then love him.LOL.

I liked Rand at first also. But now he is almost a symbol for Jordan's own flaws as an author.

Well,I don't like him.He is crying non-stop like a character from boring Brazil soap-opera.But I like Lews Terin, the crazy Dragon.
But my favourite Good character is Mat.But I
prefer Evil...Ba'alzamon,Moridin[two names of one man?!],Sameal.

hehe if you think two names for one person is alot Lord Foul has about 4 or 5 in The Thomas covenant chronicles. but back to the point.
I hate rand i hate most characters in that book i cant remember most of it its so long it just becomes muddled upbut i can remember i liked about 2 characters in that series and those two where only characters you see for half the book

I liked Rand a lot more in the beginning. I'm kind of getting frustrated with him making the same mistakes over and over.

My favorite character would have to be Perrin. Although I would have to say I did, especially in the early books, want to tell him to get over it and except the wolves into his life.

I think it is about time he lost his virginity, maybe he'll stop being such a 'wuss' then. He may then stop letting the women treat him like sh#t.

Having said that... I have not read the last 2 books (yet), so maybe he is a man after all. Has he given Nynaeve the good hiding she deserves yet (I support Zero tolerence as regard violence against women, but this lady is a fictiscious character, so no hate mail please)
