Anyone pick this up?
It's written by Paul Cornell, who wrote British Summertime and some Doctor Who episodes.

I quite liked it in a very crazy Ennis-esque mix of daft action and brit humour, some funny lines too, my fave was 'If anyone has a plan now is the time for that to go pear-shaped too'. I think it's a novelty, written-by-the-seat-of-their-pants piece, have to wait and see if they can sustain interest in the title though, a lot happened in the first issue alone.

OK, so it's done and the TPB is out. Worth a look in?
I'm guessing seeing that Cornell has been picked up to write Excalibur that he managedto impress someone with this mini-series.

I'd say yes, it's a reasonable price and there's plenty in it. It is a bit disjointed and some of the references are hit and miss but it's not a bad little mini.

On the list it goes then - thanks Kater

No problems, after you mentioned it yesterday I dug out my singles and yeah the writing was sharper than I remember, decent if British humour and finds it's feet in the last 2/3 episodes.
