The Path of Daggers

The Path Of Daggers is perhaps the most hated well written book of all time.
All you people who hated it ask yourself this question: Would you still have hated it if you didn't have book 1,2,3 and 4 to compare it too?

I totally agree. It's not the first book I'd decide to reread, but there are some intresting things happening. Although, it s a bit to slow.

Of course not. PoD in and of itself isn't so bad, but compared to the preceding books in the series it fell well short of the average readers expectations. Thank the One Power for Winter's Heart! It is so good you don't want to finish it, but you can't stand to put it down.

Right on Lady Fox. Winter's Heart is better than aCos and PoD.

Without a doubt.

I enjoyed PoD, but I also read it about a week after finishing CoS. I think that a lot of the people who had problems with it are the ones who waited two years to read it. There were a few things in WH that had to do with things that happened in PoD and I couldn't remember exactly what it was that happened. I would like to read them together. THat is one of the major problems of reading an incomplete series. I said that I would never read one and now I find myself in the middle of three... waiting semi-patiently for the next installment.

I guess I'm weird...I vastly preffered POD to the rank volumes 4-6 with their interminable journey of the three b****** from hell....I've yet to read winter's heart but if you liked the preceding volumes more than POD, and you like Winter's heart better, then I just hope this means he hasn't gone back to catfights and no plot progression.... http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif Of course, the first 2 books were the best by far (IMO) but POD has been the first book since then give me even a glimmer of interest again.
Cheers,
G.
