I'm currently reading this book and am really enjoying it. At first the many references to the sixties threw me off but now I'm actually really enjoying it even if much of it is set well before I was born. It's rather charming really. I'm already looking for books in a similar vein. Has anyone who has read this book read something similar that you feel is worth recommending?
I guess this can be similar because it uses a similar setting ( I'd be interested in something set in the 50's , 60's ) or because it uses the time travel plot device in a very interesting way.
Are Grimwood's other books worthwile ( I note they are all out of print)?

Replay is the only Grimwood I've read. I loved it. It's the favorite time travel story of a lot of people, from what I've seen in on-line discussions.
I loved Green Darkness by Anya Seton, although there's a romance aspect, which some folks don't care for. It's set in the 70's, and when I tried to re-read it a few years ago, some of the references (cocktail parties, the clothes, women as appurtenances, etc.) dated the book, and I didn't finish it a second time. But it was great once! :)
A fairly new one I absolutely loved is A Shortcut in Time by Charles Dickinson. I liked it so much that I e-mailed the author and suggested a sequel. He e-mailed back, said he had fun writing it and was indeed working on a follow-up.
The Jack Finney time travel books are pretty good -- Time After Time and -- I've forgotten the other title.
The Outlander books by Diana Gabaldon feature time travel, but they're really bodice rippers in disguise, IMHO.

One of the best time travel books I have read is "The Time Travelers Wife" by A Neffinegger (I'm not sure of the authors spelling, but that is right or close) It was a really good one, and sort of confusing at first. But I really liked it and would like to see the author come out with something else. I've recommended it so a few people and so far they have all liked it.
