This book was going great untill the part about the elves and the ellcrys came. it sort of made it less dramatic and the feel of shannara came creeping up on me in the few chapters with the elves. It would be all right if you have read the first series of the shannara series, but if like me youve read them all you dont really want the Ellcrys in it again.

Well I can guess what 'mutant' creatures will turn into the 'fantasy' beasts in the Shannara world, but Elves had to be there already cause they didn't 'mutate' from men.
