I have to say, I've always been partial to Dwarves as opposed to elves..
I like em.. =)

I like the dwarfs as they are depicted in Raymond Feists novels. Of course, that's the way they are depicted 90% of the time so I have no problem with dwarfs.

Heh, i always liked Dwarves more than Elves.
The idea of a small creature who is tough and can kick the ass of much larger creatures is cool, their character (ale and gold is what's important) and their fierceness at battle.
Gotta love them.

I like only Tolkien's dwarves. The others are crude shades of them, IMHO.

I like dwarves. My only problem is that too often the main dwarf is the typical "crabby-old-man-with-heart-of-gold."

And btw, Flint rocked.

Sorry, but I don't like dwarfes too much, they're not really my kind of characters - don't know why. Only one book I've read (it's a German one, you won't know it) presents dwarfes as I'd like them - though in the battle and kind for the rest of time. I know, this is also the case in many other books, though this one had something special.

I like dwarves. I liked them in Tolkien's books, and I also enjoy their role in the Death Gate Cycle by Weiss and Hickman. I also enjoy reading about them in the Dragonlance books in general...
