Who would you say is the strongest person of fantasy? I mean physically strongest person, not magically enhanced or something?
David Drake's Cashel is very strong but could he beat GRRM's "Mountain that rides"? (without weapons)? The amberites are very strong but they're not mortal, same as the Valherus.
So who's the strongest human in your opinion?

A Runelord (David Farland's Runelord series) with enough endowments of strength, but then again...that may be considered magically enhanced.
Caramon from DragonLance is pretty strong, too.

Yeah, Caramon maybe, also Druz the Legend from David Gemmell's Drenai.

I would have to agree that Ser Gregor Clegane(the Mountain That Rides) would have to be the strongest human being that I have encountered in a fantasy series. I mean, he wields a six foot great sword with ease. I am sure I have read about magically enhanced humans who may be stronger, but in terms of non-magical humans I am sure the eight foot tall behemoth that is Ser Gregor has no equal in brute strength.
(By the way, I'm new here)

Bardos: Good choice.
Rhaegar: Welcome, how did you choose your name?

Hmm. Karl Cullinane from Joel Rosenberg's Guardians of the Flame is pretty damn tough.

FitzFlagg, thanks for welcoming me to this great board.
You want to know how I chose "Rhaegar" as my name on this board? Sure.
Anyone who has read George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" knows the name of Rhaegar Targaryen. Although he is not a major character in the series (he is dead) he is referred to quite often. George R.R. Martin is so talented in his storytelling that even this dead character is more interesting than some authors living characters. Rhaegar Targaryen was a man who loved his harp more than his sword, yet he could put aside his music and be a deadly foe to his enemies. Much mystery surrounds this character, and Martin only "hints" about certain aspects of his life. I hope that in future installments of this series we learn more about him.
FitzFlagg, as you can probably tell I think the character is fascinating, and that's why I chose his name to be mine on this board.
( P.S.) I just have to say that I joined this board because George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. I consider myself an avid reader of fantasy fiction, and I have read most everything in the genre, but nothing has affected me in the way this series has. Simply brilliant, and by far the best fantasy I have ever read.
