There's a lot more meat here than in previous Year's Best from the editors, but they still have a long way to go before they reach the level of Dozois, Strahan, et. al.
So far, Alastair Reynolds and Robert Reed are leading the pack, each with 4 different stories from 2006 that will be reprinted in the various Year's Best anthologies. Quite an accomplishment!
