I got the "fool's gold" trilogy out of the library and I'm just finishing up a Ben Elton before I start. Can anyone give me a heads - up as to what sort of fantasy [s]he writess? I'm quite keen for Magic, having just gone through another Gemmel phase. Sorry if there are already posts about this thread as I could not find the search facility, I promise that I looked thoroughly before asking.

A word that comes to mind for that series is 'lame'.
In other words, it sucks, and there's much better fantasy out there IMO.
