Following our discussions here (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?p=378036), I've redrawn the poll to include the options that many wanted.

Hopefully this'll do the trick.

Please reenter your results if you did this before.

Now who can resist the characters Waylander and Jon Shannow, eh? :D
They're unbeatable. :o

Druss the Legend was the first book I read by Gemmell... it was also the second book I read by Gemmell... so I love Druss.

But I voted Waylander because it was the first time I read about a 'hero' that was a bit of a bastard... and I liked that.

Interesting to see Waylander take an early lead...I plumped for Winter Warriors myself. It was the first Gemmell I read and I think the characters involved are some of his best, while the plot is extremely tight with excellent pacing.

Still voted Sword in the Storm. Would encourage anyone who voted in the last thread to vote again ( not that the final victory of Legend is in dispute ;) ).

I still went with Legend. Love the whole Alamo/Roukes Drift thing.

I got to thinking about King Beyond the Gate - I really like the ending, kinda tragic.

Yup, still Legend for me.

I voted for Legend as well. I've read quite a few of Gemmel's books and enjoyed them all, but when many other books grow hazy on me, I remember Legend quite clearly and it really stands out in my mind as an evocative book.

In this new poll, Waylander has my vote. It was the first Gemmell I read and I absolutely loved it.

Legend is a very, very close second.

Waylander seems to be more than holding its own against Legend, but I think the latter will win out. Very interesting to see how the voting is panning out!
