i just finished the second one, i heard the release date for the third one ws sometime in november...i thought that they both were pretty decent but she keeps using the word "spunk" in there

I think my biggest complaint was how long it has taken between book releases! Yes, its not deep stuff, so you'd think the writing would go quicker not slower.
Really enjoyed reading them despite all the noted flaws - but as mentioned above, my own reading level in the genre has changed so much since the first one came out, much like with WoT, that its become quite frustrating.

I guess I'm the only one here who didn't like it.
Although it had some interesting scenes and characters (I liked the "Wild Ride" scene), on the whole I found it really subpar, even when I was expecting it to be fluff reading (from reading this thread).
I personally found the main character to be dense and annoying--and yet somehow she enchants everyone she meets (gag). The villain is completely unoriginal and uninteresting. There is absolutely no character development whatsoever. Worst for me is that Britain's prose style is (in my opinion) terrible.
It felt to me like a weak first draft which had potential but really needed a lot of work.
I'm not going to read the next book.
Did anyone notice her nod to Terry Goodkind, with the river named Terrygood?
