Over the few months I have been here, I have read quite a few good quotes.
I just think it maybe a good idea to start a post for all of us to put them in.

Well in light of the latest discussions in the post "Believers".I think this quote fits well.

"The faculty of imagination is what makes people happy.
For instance, the stars were more mysterious before
everyone knew what they were in a scientific sense.
Fantasy as an art is refreshing in the same way as
dreams - it opens the mind to new possibilities" -
-- Bruce Pennington

Yes EE saying "Duh" with a question mark does make you sound both annoying and simplistic. Good question.

Also related to the discussion in Believers:

"A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum
shows that faith does not prove anything."

That's an oldie, but for everyone that never heard it, it goes like this (sort of):
"The last man on earth sat in his room. suddenly there was a knock at the door."

Frederick Brown.
