Man in the High Castle
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep
Are usually the novels to start with.
Here's an old thread where people talk about their favorites:

1. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.
2. Man in a High Castle.
3. Any of his short stories.
4. Anything else.
I find that most of his novels are too far out there for me, not in a SF way, but in a drug incuded psychosis kind of way. The two novels above have little to no drugs and are actually worth reading. Many of his shorts are that way too, but the remainder of his novels are drug-addled stream of consciousness "am I really me / who am I" riffs. To me, those are the ones to avoid.
But, your mileage may vary.

I'd start with the 5 volume series of 'The Collected Stories of Philip K. Dick'. Personally, I think Dick shone in short stories and only few of his novels such as 'The Man in the High Castle', 'Dr. Bloodmoney', 'Ubik', 'Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said' deserve notice. More to that, many of his short stories were later developed into novels, loosing a lot of its appeal and quality.

Being a good fan myself i would recomend to begin with the short stories... either like Vanin said and go for the collect stories or at least buy the "best stories by PKD" or something similar... There is a white hardcover book that seems nice...
