Hi all,

First time here so please don’t trash me to bad.
The other day someone recommended The Wayfarer Redemption (Battleaxe, Book 1) by Sara Douglass, and so I bought it.

It’s a great book. It has a good story line, real characters and it’s entertaining as hell. There’s just one problem. How can I find the other books in the series? There not publish yet it North America. Does anyone know how can I find them?

Thanks all,
avin

(sorry if my english is terrible, I'm working on it)

I bought all 6 (softcover) of her books in the 2 trilogies here in Canada. 4 of them I grabbed at Chapters and 2 at an independent store in town. I'm not sure what the shipping charge would be for you, but you might want to check them out:

We don't usually trash new people, but when they say something stupid like Belgarion did (probably more ignorant than stupid) people have a field day.

So..Metroblats...Hmmm..I see that you are my Torak!! I shall slay you and you shall begone! LOL! Only joking mate!

I must agree with you that I did get overexcited and made the significant mistake of declaring Eddings as the "best" when this was prcatically inviting myself to be splattered with cream cakes in front of the general readers!!!

So I say again, that I am sorry for being a prat (just for a spur of the moment!).

Thanks for saying that I was ignorant rather than stupid. Absolutely spot on!

We're all ignorant about one thing or another, ignorance is nothing to be ashamed of. If it was I would have alot of shame to deal with.
For example check out the "Conspiracy Theories" Thread (it was a while back). I was totally ravaged from all sides on that occasion.

Here in Ireland the first 3 books were published as The Battleaxe Trilogy and last 3 were The Wayfarer Redemption. Amazon.co.uk has them all fairly reasonably priced. However, the last 2 books were very poor, imo, so you might want to read a few reviews or whatever before you consider buying them.

I am really enjoying theem--nice to have a female writer who doesn't shy away from vivid battle scenes. This is totaally nitpicking, but one thing I do find is that her nomenclature is sometimes quite poor--Skraelings is the term the Norse gave to North American natives and it's hard for me to see anything different in my mind. Belial is another name for the devil--but is a benign character in her books. The association is just too strong. i think you need to nbe careful with this kind of thing when writing--if you ,like the name surely you can make a minor change in spelling or something?

Why not try a few Australian book stores?
With the Aussie dollar as low as it is, you might get a few bargains!
