I just read the Dune series and I was thinking who would win in a fight between an army of Fremen and a army of Aiel from Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time? What do you guys think and do you know of anyone better?

Well, I've only read the WoT, so, I'd say Aiel.. but, if I had to pick a fighting unit...

The Bloodguard from The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever are pretty tough.

I also think the Ash'aman and the Aiel kick @$$ as well.

Heh, i think the most kickass fighting force in fantasy is the Valheru from Midkemia, but you might disqualify them for being kinda demigods.

As best soldiers i would say whoever is commanded by Mat.

Easily the most kick arse fighting force is from the Dune universe but not the Fremen. Leto's Fish Speakers are 3000 years down the evolutionary ladder, and can easily beat Duncan Idaho, who could go toe to toe with the Fremen anyday.

That's scifi though. As far as fantasy army's go, the Bloodguard rule. Go the Haruchai!!!!!
