Okay, yesterday one of my friends came over and we were talking about fantasy books. I asked him if he had read any other fantasy books besides The Chronicles of Narnia Series
and The Space Trilogy by C.S. Lewis, and The Hobbit and The LOTR Trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien, which he is now avidly planning to read. He said that he had only read one other
fantasy book that, in his opinion, totally stank because it starts having a really intriguing, compelling, and detailed storyline that really sucks you into the book, but then, towards the end, the author rushed the story so fast that you couldn't understand what was going on, and then, when it got to the end, the ending completely stank. He said that he didn't remember the title of it, but he did remember that the storyline was set in outer space and this one guy was captured and taken to another planet, and the heroes had to rescue him. I then asked him if he was sure it was a fantasy novel, and not a sci-fi novel. He said that it was definitely a fantasy novel, and that there was no futuristic stuff involved whatsoever, and that the beings in the book traveled from planet to planet by way of magic or some sort of mystical power. Could someone here possibly be able to tell me the name of this fantasy novel, because I'd kind of like to read it for myself and see if I share my friend's opinion about it.
