Well, today I finished "Dragons of the Autumn Twilight" by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman and I must say that the book is wonderful. The characters are nice and interesting-espessially Raistlin and the story is super. What's your opinion about this book and the series generally?

The DragonLance Chronicles ranks pretty high for me, it was one of the earliest fantasies that I read. The trilogy really got me into the fantasy genre.

The DragonLance Legends trilogy is very good as well, but most of the other DragonLance novels NOT by Weis and Hickman can't hold a candle to the two original trilogies by Weis and Hickman.

Dragonlance was one of the my earlier exposures into TSR Fantasy.. I think I had read Terry Brooks and Raymond Feist before..

But, I do remember that it was one of the books that I polished off in a weekend because I loved it so much..

Yah, it may not rank as high as most books I have read, but, it does bring warm and fuzzy memories. =)

Certainly one of the my favorite trilogies, and it has my favorite group of heroes.
Just wait, Raistlin is going to become a lot more interesting.

The chronicles are TSR'S best series, it has never, to my knowledge, been equaled, not even by weis and hickman. I envy you, allanon, for reading it for the first time, your'e in for a treat!

I actually enjoy reading all the TSR books, but they are not to be taken too seriously, just something to chill out with. Chronicles was by far the best, but the Fogotten Realms 'Dritzz DuOrden' books are good as well, in fact most of RA Salvatore's books are good.

Brings back a lot of fond memories. The Dragon Lance Chronicles were an early fantasy read for me as well. Great stuff. Good straight forward adventure with not a lot of depth to begin with but a great read nonetheless.

Thanks for the interest!Lior,I agree that the book is super. The characters, esspesially
Raistlin are great and conflicts in the small group makes this story unusual. Also, the bad guys are really cool[Yantar is my fav.-correct me if I don't write his English name with mistakes] and the atmosphere is both realistic and faerie.I don't think that this book is far of the best.I think that this book is wonderful and the greatest story after the"Riftwar saga" by Ray Feist!
