I read an interesting post the other day about who one would choose for a duo of characters. It led me to wonder, if I had my choice, what authors would I like to chain together and make them write a book or series:)
My choice would have to be Glenn Cook and Steve Erikson. That would definitely be a gritty book with lots of interesting characters and a fast paced plot. If I could have a trio, I would throw in George R.R. Martin.

IŽd go with Jordan/Martin. The world of Wot by Jordan, inhabited with charactersm written by Martin, would be just perfect.

If we can resurect the dead I'll go with Mervyn Peake and Robert E. Howard -- I can't imagine what they'd come up with, but I'd sure as hell would want to read it!

Id like to see George R. R. Martin and Charles De Lint do some Newford tales.

Zelazny and George R. R. Martin.

Zelazny for writing, George for plot.

Edit: Forgot to say that Zelazny is dead, though I assumed dead people were ok since someone else mentioned Howard and Peake
