I was looking in a used book store today, and I saw a book written by Margaret Weiss and another person. The book was about robots; I was wondering if anyone has read this book? I wish I could remember the name. She wrote multiple books with this author. I am going to go back by there tomorrow and get them. I will post the titles then and the other author.

I think she wrote them with her husband, Don Perin.

It was Perin. What are those books like? Are they any good?

Hi Charles. I read a book by weiss and perin called "Robot Blues" and I really enjoyed it. first of all in my opinion, it's intresting to read a sf book by weiss, rather than the usuall fantasy. true, this is no Heinlein or Asimov, it's a lighthearted space advanture about an odd group of galactic mercenaries out on a special job. but like all weiss's books, it has it's inherent originality, and it doesn't take itself too seriously with a healthy dose of humor, you'll recognize the weiss's trademark comic releif characters in a second, but it's still funny!
I don't know about don perin, but weiss's seldom puts out bad stuff.

p.s: this book is a part of a series.
I haven't read the other ones, but that fact didn't bother my reading at all.

I am about to go out and get them today. Luckily it is a used book store and they have many books that I can get for about 1.00 each..

The book Robot Blues is part of a series called Mag Force 7 by Margaret Weis and her husband Don Perin.

As mentioned above, they are a fun space adventure series, with all the classic Weis trademarks.

The Mag Force 7 series was actually a spin-off series of Margaret's other space adventure series called Star of the Guardians. That was a really great series and if you ever see them around on a bookshelf I urge you to pick them up. The series is a space opera/adventure a little more serious in tone then the Mag Force 7 novels; with a big Star Wars feel to it. If you like some good space opera, this series is the ultimate.

Anyways, I'll quit rambling and list the books of each series below. Suffice to say, if you like Margaret Weis' other books, you'll love these:

Star of the Guardians:

The Lost King
King's Test
King's Sacrifice
Ghost Legion

Mag Force 7 (spinoff of Star of the Guardians):

The Knights of The Black Earth
Robot Blues
Hung Out

Talking of Weiss has anyone read the new Dragonlance book by Weiss and Hickman? I forget the title but it looks like the first in a new series.
