Hey, Comics fit in with both Scifi, and Fantasy. Just condensed!

Anybody reading any good comics lately?

I'm currently enjoying a few of them. Midnight Nation by J. Mike Strazynski (sp?)
Sam and Twitch
Just a Pilgrim
Ultimate Spidey
Ultimate XMen
Vampi
Green Arrow by Kevin Smith
And some others are on my regular pull list, but I can't remember right now! (Damn allergy pills!)

I just picked up the Amazing Spidey, (This months ish where JMS takes over the writing job) and The new Aria: Soul Market, but haven't gotten a chance to read them yet.

Speaking of Aria, any of you interested in magic, faeries, pixies and the like should check out the Aria Trade Paperback.......good stuff, BEAUTIFUL art & colors!

Well, it's really a few months old now but I just bought and read the concluding volume of Preacher. Good stuff, a great end to the series.

The batman books are quite good, although I don't like what they did with the covers.
I strongly recommend all of the "no man's land" books which came out about a year and a half ago, and tells of the aftermath of the earthquake which struck gotham city, those are the best batman stories I ever read, and you can get them in trade paperbacks.

other comics I liked: the groundbreaking superhero masterpiece known as "Watchmen" and a fantastic batman tale called "The Killing Joke", both by one of the best writers in the field, Alan moore.

Yeah, Watchmen was very good. Haven't read it in a very long time. Might have to break that one out here pretty soon!

Preacher was one of the best comic series I've read. I started Ennis' new one Just a Pilgrim, pretty good.

As for series I follow:
Green Lantern Flash JLA Spawn Superman Captain America Thinking of starting The Authority Battle Chasers The Spectre

I started on the Preacher TPB's. I love em! Only read the first two so far though. Just a Pilgrim has potential. I'll have to wait and see how it pans out.

Preacher graphic novels are great. I have read a few of them and they remind me of Neil Gaiman's sandman graphic novels in style. Sandman, Preacher, and Death are great series. Death is by Neil Gaiman and it is related to Sandman, but it is still good.

I've never gotten a chance to read Sandman or Death. I've heard lots about them from many rabid fans. Maybe I'll have to squeeze some them in here pretty soon!

Graphic Novels such as Sandman are usually not the cheapest books. I think they are anywhere from $12 to $20 for one. You might be able to find them elsewhere for cheaper though. That is just the bookstore here that sells them for that much.
