I have been going through some old files and come across one I thought I had lost. So I started reading it and added a few hundred words...

Wondering if anyone wants to critique it. Before I post it on the community I want to be sure folks won't take offense. The subject matter is adult and not very nice at all. Maybe better to email it to folks, but I would like some feed back.

Care to clarify a bit before anyone says yay or nay?

Care to clarify a bit before anyone says yay or nay?

Birth, death, rape, no punches pulled, very "Martin/Goodkind" I suppose you will say (I suspect someone will want to murder me linking those two authors together ;) )

Well, I trust you handle the subject matter with a measure of professionalism. If so, I'm not opposed to giving the piece a once-over.

Feel free to send it my way by PM or e-mail. You've got both.

How many words?

The whole thing? 2,200. the bit put up on the community about half that.

I have only put up the birth/death bit. That's just violence  ;)

The other bit I am a bit shy of putting up, as I don't want folks to get the wrong idea of what I am trying to do. The rape is a ritualised taking or rather fight for power, but is it really? Is it the "power" insuring that it is protected by, not only the strongest, but the one that can insure it not only survives, but grows and continues. The price the "power" pays is allowing itself to be used.

Actually, James. I think I must have written a million over the years, of which 99% is crap ROFL!
