Well, there's THIS (http://www.amazon.com/1945-Novel-Robert-Conroy/dp/0345494792/ref=pd_sim_b_2/103-4536183-2243813) one: 1945 by Robert Conway, but probably more relevant is THIS (http://www.amazon.com/MacArthurs-War-Novel-Invasion-Japan/dp/0765312875/ref=pd_sim_b_1/103-4536183-2243813) one, MacArthur's War: A Novel of the Invasion of Japan
by Douglas Niles and Michael Dobson
And if you like alternate histories of WW2 in general, there's always THIS (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0755201566/qid%3D1108636671/202-8262679-7866214) one

The best what- if novels about the invasion of Japan are , "Death Is Lighter Than A Feather" by David Westheimer and "The Burning Mountain" by Alfred Coppel.

Since Arith was asking about a story involving an Allied invasion of Japan, no, you're not. Unless my memory fails me, the Allies never invaded Japan in the World War series.
