I think Zandramas would look better when she has all those stars on her skin.

Anyone know what that dragon in The wizard of Earthsea was called?

Well, I haven't read very many fantasy books yet, but I would say my favorite dragon is that ice dragon from The Dragonbone Chair by Tad Williams. I love dragons!!

I cannot remember the series, but it was just a dungeons and dragons trilogy and it had a dragon in it and a female fighter. The dragon in the book was pretty impressive and was the main villian in the books. It has been a few years since I have read the books and I don't remember much about them. I think that the series was something like the pentagon or something like that and the dragon began with a V or something, maybe vermillion or something. I really don't think that Vermillion is correct, but I do believe it was something like that.

The "main" dragons of "Earthsea" was two.The first was Kalessin, but I can't remember the name of the second.I remember that Kob the Necromancer killed him.

Okay... I admit it... Anne McCaffry books are the best Dragon books I have ever read. I am not to keen on some of the later Pern books, they are just a re-hash of the same story... told from another perspective.

The main reason I like them is because the dragon's themselves are main characters, in most books they are just 'supporting cast'.

I have 24 Myth & Magic dragons, sitting on the bookshelves, watching me, right now... so I need to be careful what I say... http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

McCaffrey handled the dragons of Pern really well. I only read the original trilogy plus Dragonsdawn, but from those books, I really like the dragons.

Lawrence-Watt Evans has an interesting take on dragons in Dragon Weather.

The Dragon from Fionavar was pretty good too. I also like Feist's dragons.

As for my favorite...hmm...that's tough, I'll have to get back.
