Hi there!

I was just browsing on amazon.co.uk this weekend and saw that several SFF titles are heavily discounted: 40% to 50% off on books like Joe Abercrombie's The Blade Itself and Before They Are Hanged, China Miéville's Un Lun Dun, Alan Campbell's Scar Night, Steven Erikson's Reaper's Gale, Scott Lynch's The Lies of Locke Lamora and Red Seas under Red Skies, Ian Cameron Esslemont's Night of Knives, Richard Morgan's Black Man, and more. And that sale is still going strong!;)

Check it out here (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.co.uk%2FBlade-Itself-Book-First-Gollancz%2Fdp%2F0575079797%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Dbooks %26qid%3D1180964851%26sr%3D8-2&tag=patsfantasyho-21&linkCode=ur2&camp=1634&creative=6738).

Unfortunately, there is no such sale at amazon.ca and amazon.com...

I've been keeping an eye on this SFF sale for a while now. . .

And even though there are not as many heavily discounted titles as in early June, you can still benefit from great discounts for books by Scott Lynch, Joe Abercrombie, Richard Morgan, Steven Erikson, Ian Cameron Esslemont, Neal Asher, Alan Campbell, Brian Ruckley, and more!

Funny, but in North America, in order to benefit from such specials, a book needs to hit the NYT bestseller. And to get 50% off, a book must reach number 1. . .

Check it out and save some dough!:D

I suppose this is as good a time as any to plug The Book Depository (http://www.bookdepository.co.uk) again.

A recent example:
The B format of Jasper Fforde's The Fourth Bear has just been released. It's retailing in Austalia for AU$22.95. At the book depository it is £4.97. This converts to around AU$12, and there is no charge for shipping (they ship free anywhere in the world).

That's close to 50% off, and they consistently offer most books at that level of discount.
