Let's see. I don't watch TV too much, but I always watch Kekkaishi, Meitantei Conan and Mito Koumon on Mondays (my Kekkomi block), Doraemon and Crayon Shin-chan on Fridays, Terra E and Den'nou Coil on Saturdays, and Chibi Maruko-chan and Sazae-san on Sundays. Occasionally I might take in a variety show or documentary if I stumble upon it. I miss having Discovery Channel and its affiliates (History, Military, Science, etc.).

Oh, wait, SC... Guess my regular viewing doesn't help you too much, now does it? ^_^;

Well I suppose it depends what type of TV you like...

I enjoy watching stuff like Hereos, House MD, Supernatural, Veronica Mars, Doctor Who. I will watch most American sitcoms never mind how bad they are... it's easy to make me laugh and I enjoy doing so. However, modern UK sitcomes are dreadful! I also like cooking shows (as I enjoy cooking). In the US there is a show called The Iron Chef which which fun but a little crazy.

I also like junt tv... the type of prgrams my girlfriend likes, programs such as Cribs, American next top model and The Girls Next Door. I just like them for the sillyness of it all.

thanks peeps. james...lol...i honestly have never heard of any of those. are those anime? if so what's the name of the channels they come on?

o yeah go supernatural. i at least have the common sense to watch that one without being influenced first.

and james, or whoever can answer this, what's some decent mature anime?

You aren't likely to recognize any of the shows I watch because I watch Japanese TV. Mostly NHK and IBC, but sometimes Menkoi Terebi. (I only have like five or six channels, so it's not like anyone's getting all that left out.) And, yes, except for Mito Koumon (a chanbara), all the shows I listed are anime. If I was closer to Tokyo, there'd be a lot more titles on the list, but such are the joys of being out in the boondocks.

As far as "mature" anime goes, there's already a thread devoted to that on this board. It really depends on what you like and exactly what you mean by "mature". The association of "mature" and "adult" with porn really muddies the water. If you're after some ero, you're barkin' up the wrong tree.

Haha. I didn't mean it that way. By mature, I mean not childish. And thanks I found that thread.

Hopefully you find all the recommendations you could want there. (I am, of course, partial to my own suggestion. ^_^ )
