I'm about to submit my latest short story to the Writers of the Future Contest (it has to be in by June 30th). Because of the nature of the contest, I don't want to just post the entire story here as I'm not sure what constitutes exposure the contest officials would be unhappy with if the story does well and is later published in the WotF book.

So, if you're willing to read it in the next week or so (it's about 7K word), please post a message here and send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send it to you. NOTE: also let me know if you want it sent as a Word, WordPerfect, RTF, or PDF file.

I think it's a fairly good story, and my previous entries to the contest have done pretty well (I was a semi-finalist in Q1 07).

If you're interested, let me know.

Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Shoot, I'm game. Send me a copy in RTF. The address is james@palidormedia.com. I'll give it a proper workshopping.

Thanks, James. It's on its way.

Anyone else?

I'll try to have it ready for you today or tomorrow. I underestimated how long 7K is, but I'll see how quickly I can get it hashed out.

No problem, James. Take a few more days if you need it.

I look forward to your comments.

Looks like I'll have to take you up on that offer. The workshop is taking longer than I was expecting. I should have it done by tomorrow, though.

I'm also interested. Do you need my e-mail? Or can you PM it to me?

Power, just send me a PM with the e-mail address where you want me to send it.

I've gotten some good feedback already--thanks James.

I need more. Anyone else willing to read it? Times running out.
